The Reality Based Training Unit is responsible for the Department's Force on Force training. They are the Department's Subject Matter Experts for Reality Based Training. The RBT instructs the following training courses to Department members, along with Federal, State, County and Local jurisdiction:

- Swift Water Rescue Technician
- Basic Boat Operator
- Basic Flood Water Operator
- Human Tracking
