TMD, DPS Provide Update on Progress of OLS at Weekly Briefing

AUSTIN – The Texas Military Department (TMD) and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) held a media briefing today to provide an update on the progress of Operation Lone Star (OLS). The briefing was held at DPS’ regional headquarters in Weslaco.

DPS Recognizes Lifesaving Efforts at PSC Meeting

AUSTIN – The Texas Public Safety Commission (PSC) along with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director Steven McCraw awarded two Director’s Citations; seven Lifesaving Awards; and one Purple Heart to department personnel at the PSC meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14, at DPS Headquarters in Austin. One Director’s Award was also presented to a member of a partner agency at the meeting.

Homicide Suspect from Sherman, Lubbock Sex Offender Added to Texas Most Wanted Lists

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added two men to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Lists. Justin Marquiwis Cuba, of Sherman, is on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List. Cory Lee Reed, of Lubbock, has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Cuba’s arrest and capture and $3,000 for Reed. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.
