Why is TxDPS offering this training?
In 2022, TxDPS received a Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grant from the Department of Homeland Security's Center for Prevention, Programs, and Partnerships (CP3) to provide in-person TVTP training to community members in Texas. This training aims to enhance community understanding of pathways to violence, indicators, and reporting mechanisms.
How much does this training cost?
Training is free to all authorized and vetted attendees.
How long is the training?
Training will take approximately four hours.
Do I need to bring anything to the training?
No, trainers will provide any required supplies.
Can I attend the training virtually?
Currently, the training is only available in person.
Who should attend this training?
We encourage security or leadership representatives from the business sector, faith-based organizations, community organizations, nonprofits, schools and academia, and local and regional public sector to attend.
