Reinstating your Driver License or Driving Privilege

September 25, 2020

If your Texas driver license or driving privilege has been suspended, revoked, cancelled or denied, you must visit the license eligibility webpage to determine what you will need to submit to the Department for reinstatement.

For your convenience, there are several options for submitting your compliance items and any reinstatement fees.

Reinstatement Fees

Reinstatement fees can be paid online through the license eligibility webpage. This is the quickest, most convenient way to submit your payment, with processing taking approximately 24-48 hours.

Compliance Documentation without Reinstatement Fees

If you do not owe any fees or you paid your reinstatement fees online, any remaining compliance items must be submitted by mail, fax, or email. All documents submitted by email must be in PDF format. To properly identify your driver record provide your complete name, date of birth and driver license number on each document submitted and include a copy of your suspension notice, if available. Please allow 21 business days for processing.
