When you are delinquent in paying child support, the Attorney General of Texas (OAG) and/or a Texas court can order the Department to revoke your driver license or deny you the issuance of a driver license.
Driver License Reinstatement Requirements
The revocation or denial of issuance will remain in effect until the OAG, or Texas court submits an order to the Department vacating or staying the order of revocation. For additional information on reinstating your driver license, visit the OAG Child Support in Texas website.
Reinstatement Fee
If you are revoked for failure to pay child support, you are not required to pay a Reinstatement fee.
Occupational License
If you have been revoked due to delinquent child support you are not eligible for an occupational license.

To check the status of your driver license or to determine if you are eligible for reinstatement, visit the License Eligibility webpage. This page will provide you with information on what you will need to reinstate your driver license or driving privilege, including any fees you may owe. Once all compliance items have been processed and your suspension period has ended, your driver eligibility status will be updated to reflect "eligible".
