CAPTURE DETAILS:

Daniel MUNOZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender affiliated with the Tango Orejon gang, was captured on November 17, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested MUNOZ at a residence. Texas DPS Highway Patrol, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Bexar County DA’s Office, TDCJ-OIG, Texas Attorney General’s Office, and NCIS all assisted in the multi-agency investigation.In 2000, MUNOZ was convicted of Robbery and received a 10-year sentence in confinement. In 2005, he was convicted of two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child following incidents involving a 14-year-old girl. He subsequently was sentenced to two 10-year sentences to be served concurrently in TDCJ. In 2019, he was convicted of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements and was sentenced to three years of probation.MUNOZ had been wanted since February 2022, after the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office issued two warrants for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.MUNOZ’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
