CAPTURE DETAILS:

Richard BANDA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on December 2, 2021, in Dilley, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested BANDA at a residence in Dilley. Texas DPS Highway Patrol, Frio County Sheriff’s Office, and Dilley Police Department all assisted in the multi-agency fugitive investigation. In 2014, BANDA was convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and received six years’ probation. In 2018, his probation was revoked, and he was sentenced to three years’ confinement. He was released on parole in March 2020. BANDA had been wanted since April 2020, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, on November 24, 2020, the Frio County Sheriff’s Office issued two warrants for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
