Joshua WHITWORTH, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on February 16, 2022, near the community of Sylamore, Arkansas. Working off tip information, the Stone County Sheriff’s Office located WHITWORTH. Multiple law enforcement agencies from Northern Arkansas assisted in the arrest of WHITWORTH.In 2013, WHITWORTH was convicted in Texas of Unlawful Poss. of Metal or Body Armor by a Felon and Evading Arrest/Detention. In 2018, he was arrested in Arkansas for Del. of Methamphetamine and Cocaine and later bonded out and returned to Texas. In 2019, he was convicted of Unlawful Poss. of a Firearm by a Felon and was sentenced to two years’ confinement. He was released on parole in July 2020.WHITWORTH had been wanted since August 2020, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. In December 2020, the Harris County SO issued a warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. He was also wanted in Montgomery County, Texas, for Burglary of a Vehicle, and in Stone County, Arkansas, for Del. of Methamphetamine and Cocaine and Theft.WHITWORTH’s arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
