Melvin Carl SCHRADER, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on August 19, 2019, in Waco, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested SCHRADER without incident at an apartment complex on the north side of Waco.In the 1990s, SCHRADER was convicted in McLennan County of Indecency with a Child-Sexual Contact after an incident involving a 3-year-old girl.SCHRADER was last discharged from TDCJ prison in 2005 and he is required to register as a sex offender annually for life.SCHRADER had been wanted by the Bellmead Police Department since April 2018, for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.The arrest was not from a tip received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
