Catavious Latre GAINES, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on 12/10/2024 in San Antonio, TX. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested GAINES.In 2017, GAINES was convicted of Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence and subsequently sentenced to 10 years confinement in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison. Additionally, in 2017, he was convicted of Burglary of Building and subsequently sentenced to 2 years confinement. In 2019, GAINES was convicted of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under 15 YOA, Burglary of Building, and Theft of Property.GAINES had been wanted since May 2024, when a warrant was issued out of Bexar County for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Additional warrants had also been issued out of Bexar County for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance, Indecent Exposure, and Evading Arrest/Detention.GAINES’ arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
