John MCMICKINGS, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on April 14, 2022, near Loganville, Georgia. Working off tip information, Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies located and arrested MCMICKINGS at a rural location in Walton County.In 2012, MCMICKINGS was convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident involving a 14-year-old girl. He was originally sentenced to five years’ probation, but his probation was revoked in 2013. He was subsequently sentenced to 10 years’ confinement and then released on parole in August 2019.MCMICKINGS had been wanted since May 19, 2021, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation. Additionally, the El Paso District Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest on October 27, 2021, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.MCMICKINGS’ arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
