Anthony Fitzgerald TURNER, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured in Houston, Texas, on July 15, 2018. Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force, including the Texas Attorney General’s Office and Special Agents from the DPS Criminal Investigations Division, coordinated with the Houston Police Department to locate and arrest TURNER at a location in northeast Houston.TURNER, a high-risk sex offender, was convicted in 1984 in Galveston County of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Burglary of Habitation with Intent to Commit a Sex Offense after incidents involving multiple female victims. He subsequently was sentenced to 40 years in TDCJ prison. TURNER was released on parole in 2002.In 2008, TURNER was convicted in Galveston County of Sexual Assault after an incident involving a 29-year-old female. He was released on parole again in early 2016.TURNER had been wanted since June 2016 for Parole Violation. TURNER was also wanted out of Harris County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.
