On July 27th, I was involved in a traffic accident in Harlingen. No one was seriously injured but we were all a bit shaken. Officer Garcia was very professional in ensuring our safety, comfort, and care. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. All of this I would expect from the Texas DPS of course. However, he went above and beyond the call of duty by offering my passenger and me a ride to our ultimate destination about 25 miles away. Due to the pandemic, there are very few taxi's, Uber’s, or rental cars available and I was very concerned about being in a rural area with no means of transportation. Officer Garcia literally saved the day. That accident, my first in 30+ years was very traumatic. All the DPS officers present really worked to deescalate any tension and stress among the victims and went about their duties professionally and with aplomb. I am relieved and gratified to have such dedicated and experienced officers as Enrique Garcia.
