Tya Washington

I had an appointment at the Plano DPS to renew my driver license. I went, expecting the worst.... long lines, long wait, and brisk employees. I could not have been more wrong! The employees were efficient, organized and extremely courteous. They knew exactly where everyone was in the process and it moved along smoothly. From start to finish, my appointment took about 55 minutes. As I advanced in the process, I watched the steady stream of customers. All races, ages, ethnicities, they were all treated with courtesy, even when the customers themselves were not as nice. The last person I worked with was Tya Washington. She was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly, even though I was probably about her 40th customer that day! When I asked her if she got a break, she laughed and said yes, but that she liked to stay busy! I ended my appointment with a new appreciation for the hard work done by DPS and the pride they obviously take in their work, especially those like Tya. Thank you.
