I wanted to provide feedback on a traffic stop Trooper L. Smith conducted on 3/26/2021 in Walker County. Trooper Smith, while conducting his stop was extremely safe and highly professional while explaining the reason for the stop. This Trooper was willing to go the extra mile to explain the issues and wore the uniform that presented TXDPS in a professional manner. As a former (retired) Law Enforcement Officer in Texas, Trooper Smith was not in any way disrespectful prior to knowing my past career and conducted his official business as prescribed by DPS, which shows the agency’s training is one of the best in the industry. I commend Trooper Smith for his professional attitude, professional appearance and willing to listen during the stop and not just be an authoritative figure.
