I want to take this opportunity to provide compliments for DPS Trooper T. Marfell. While I thought I was driving the speed limit from Lubbock to Austin, I was stopped by Officer Marfell. I truly did not know why I was being stopped because I had completely missed a reduction in the maximum speed limit from 75 to 65. He was professional, respectful, courteous, and kind throughout the entire process which made an otherwise negative experience as positive of one as it could have been. I appreciated his approach, his kindness, and his candor. In today’s environment where we all have endured all types of trauma and new normal, it is refreshing to encounter people such as Officer Marfell.
