I was stopped by Trooper W. Rivera for a speeding infraction. It being a rural area I hadn't even noticed the sudden drop in the speed limit. He explained to me where the change had occurred as a teachable moment. We even briefly chatted before he let me go. Trooper Rivera was very polite and professional. It’s not much, but in a time when everyone seems to be going mad and out to get each other he showed that common decency still exists and for that I felt the need to drop a little note because no one ever tells you when you have done something good anymore.
