I was stopped by Officer Ozbirn ID# 13987. He was cordial, polite, engaging, and ultimately merciful in the discharge of his duties. I believe it is important to highlight small events such as this when we see the overload of negativity being aimed at our police force in the media today. This officer represents what it means to be someone who enforces the law. It is not always about “coming down hard” on violators, but rather about correcting—in whatever intelligent way possible—violations of the law. Based upon my experience as a former military policeman, I can honestly say this officer was a fine example of the type of enforcers we need in the community.
