My wife and I were pulled over by Trooper Perkins while traveling south on I-35 near West, Texas. After pulling over to a safe location, Trooper Perkins approached the car on the passenger side, where I was sitting, and very professionally informed us she was speeding. He courteously questioned both of us about our trip, wondered about our destination and if we traveled the I-35 corridor often. The entire encounter with Trooper Perkins was very uplifting. He was courteous and professional, all while doing a dangerous job. I've only had a few times I've been pulled over by an officer, but I can say that Trooper Perkins was by far my most pleasant and memorable encounter. We both want to thank Trooper Perkins for his pleasant demeanor, professional attitude, and for being out on the road - doing a dangerous and often unappreciated service.
