On December 17th, around 10:30 p.m., Trooper Askew stopped me for speeding. His demeanor, professionalism, and respect for the situation, made for what was to me an unfamiliar and uncomfortable situation very calming and "routine." I know the profession often gets a bad reputation, but officers like Trooper Askew are an example of the excellence that all too often gets overlooked.
