I went to renew my driver license. I was there on a Friday morning and there was a long line. An employee named Janet came out in the hallway to check with everyone waiting to make sure they had all appropriate paperwork to accomplish whatever they were there for. I was unaware of needing a second form of ID to renew this time. Janet’s extra effort to check on those of us waiting probably saved me an hour or more of my day. When I returned the following Monday with my appropriate documents, I was fortunate enough to have Janet wait on me. She was extremely pleasant and went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. She was a pleasure to work with and even though there is always a wait at our local DPS office, she does her best to help people make the best of their time there. It would be a hard environment to stay positive in because I’m sure lots of people are frustrated by the time they get to their turn, but Janet does everything she can to help along the way, and I wanted her to be recognized for the extra effort.
