I am a recent applicant for a license to carry. In a nutshell, I experienced a very trying time in pursuit of obtaining the license. I’m talking 7 months to be exact. I began to get very frustrated and discouraged due to the long period of time of my awaiting to receive it. I called the department in Austin for assistance, yet it being one of the many attempts I believed that I would receive the runaround as I have already. I was then contacted by a Mr. Darryl Hamilton who promptly replied upon receiving my message. He was not only professional and pleasant, but he was very much attentive and he expressed what I believed to be a sincere of sense of empathy. He not only kept his word with assisting me, but Darryl also handle it in a timely manner. I don’t have any idea of how far this email will go or what impact it may have but I believe that his impeccable service should not go unnoticed. My having the option of protecting my family is very much important to me and he took care of a 7 month dilemma in a day’s time. I very much appreciate Mr. Hamilton for all his help and I wanted to share the experience. He deserves more than a just a “pat on the back.”
