Rachel Fisher & Vanessa Kelley

December 2, 2020

I would like to express my appreciation to Rachel Fisher. She comes to the small town of Panhandle the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays of every month to serve the citizens of Carson County. I visited the office to inquire what was necessary to get my 90 year old mother an identification card. My mom had decided a few years ago, not to drive and had let her license expire. My mother also was never issued a birth certificate. With a handful of my mother's identifying documents (social sec. card, medicare card, marriage license, school records from 1937+, etc.) Rachel called her supervisor, Vanessa Kelley. Rachel scanned all those documents, and advised me that her supervisor would review and send the documents up the chain of command to see what they could do, since no birth certificate was available. I have been in contact with both Rachel and Vanessa, regarding this issue. Rachel remained diligent in keeping the lines of communication open and always demonstrated professionalism, patience, kindness, and a willingness to help resolve issues quickly, which she and Vanessa accomplished!! Each time I was in Rachel's office, there were numerous other people waiting their turns. Rachel's professional demeanor stayed consistent with everyone she helped. She's amazing!! I would highly recommend updating her outdated scanning and printing equipment in Panhandle. Rachel is a rockstar in my books! She represents Texas DPS in a way in which you should be proud!!!
