I flew into Austin at 7:40 pm on a Wednesday evening with a plan to purchase a vehicle the next day from a private seller who had previously registered the vehicle in North Carolina. A few hours into my trip I encountered a trooper and it wasn't long before I noticed the emergency lights being activated indicating he wanted to talk. I must tell you that it made quite an impression on me when I was treated with such professionalism and respect and given every benefit of the doubt and opportunity to explain my situation by this trooper. My encounter ended after a brief investigation and I was simply allowed to resume my journey home. The citizens of Texas should be proud of their trooper's professionalism and good judgment. I know when traveling through Texas in the future that I will be in safe hands.
