I had the pleasure of interacting with Trooper Garza on a traffic stop. I happily asserted my constitutional rights during our interaction. Instead of becoming angry and escalating the situation like I've seen so often before, Trooper Garza respected my rights and we had a pleasant talk afterwards about the importance of constitutional rights. Texas DPS General Order #2 states: To practice, at all times, the motto of the department: "Courtesy, Service, Protection". Trooper Garza faithfully executed general orders 2, 4, 7 and 10 and upheld his oath to defend the United States Constitution and should be commended for that.
