My wife and I were traveling through Texas and while approaching a construction area we had a blowout. I was able to get to the shoulder and fairly clear of traffic, but was still concerned in as much as the bad tire was left rear, so I was still going to be on the traffic side of my car to remove and replace the blown tire. We had removed things from our car to get at tools and hadn’t even started the job when Trooper Aaron Tarnutzer from the Amarillo DPS pulled up. He provided his vehicle with lights on as a barrier and warning to the traffic. I sure felt good about the extra margin of safety. Very grateful! Trooper T was very helpful throughout the process, getting the spare out was quite a chore. He also provided good info on location of a tire shop back in Amarillo. We appreciated his kindness during a trying time and hope that you will advise him and his superiors that it was a job well done!
