I visited the Garland Mega Center to get my driver license renewed and I have to say, I was extremely shocked and very impressed with the new system that has been put in place. Not only did I feel safe and relaxed, I was in and out of the door in under 30 minutes. In all my years of getting my driver license renewed, I have never experienced such efficient service at the DPS. The new appointment system is a keeper and it has made for happier employees and happier applicants. The waiting area was empty and the office had great protocols in place in light of the pandemic. Great job DPS. I have been shouting your praises since I got home. Keep up the good work and know that your new system is definitely working. Yes, applicants have to get online and book appointments in advance since they fill up, but honestly, this is the best way and it makes for a smooth process overall.
