Wowzer, I never thought I’d be writing these words. “I had a great experience yesterday getting my Texas Driver License renewed at the DPS! Like many businesses the DPS has had to review and adapt to the new pandemic environment while still meeting the essential need of the citizens of this great state we call Texas. From proper social distancing to providing tents with flaps to block the morning sun, to allowing the service by appointment, to the smooth processing once inside the building, I don’t think I’ve ever had such an efficient and thorough process in all the years I’ve been through the DL renewal game. Ebony was the most pleasant and helpful person I could ever hope to encounter at 7:30 in the morning. I imagine her days can get routine and not too exciting, but I can also imagine that she is one of those special people who finds joy in what she does and understands that those across the counter will not always be happy to be there. If you have a rating scale of 1-10 I would give her a 20!
