Wow! What a pleasant surprise awaited me when I went to the DPS Office to procure a Texas license. In 66 years as a driver with visits to DPS offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida the experience beat them all. Right from the orderly direction of the staff outside the building throughout the entire process the directions were clearly and respectfully given. The greeter at the door gently reminded me of the safety precautions that everyone must follow. The chairs were well ordered and spaced at proper distances. The record checker was polite and patient. Even the eye exam was not a cause for anxiety. The professionalism shown be Tya was a tribute to her receptivity of the training that she received to do the task efficiently and in a calming manner. I salute all who made this my most memorable, in a favorable way, experience in a DPS Office.
