My daughter and I had an appointment in Rockwall to get my daughter permit. Joyce was the representative that was assisting us and informed us that we have to have my daughter's original birth certificate not a copy. Unfortunately the driver's ed school my daughter was attending and formed us incorrectly and told us it would not be a problem. We live over by Denton and drove an hour and a half to Rockwall as that was the earliest appointment date we were able to find. Joyce went above and beyond and helping us and contacted the manager at the Lewisville location and explain to him the situation and the manager at the Lewisville office informed Joyce he can get us in mid-October to get my daughter's permit. I am so thankful for both Joyce and the Lewisville DPS for going above and beyond and assisting us to get my daughter's permit so soon so my daughter did not have to wait until next year to be able to get her permit.
