Appointments Cancelled at Most Driver License Offices on Friday Until 11 A.M.

 AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is cancelling driver license appointments for Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at many driver license offices statewide due to the ongoing upgrade of the driver license system. The only offices that will open with regular business hours on Friday are the Garland Mega Center, Fort Worth Mega Center and Carrollton Mega Center.

Wednesday Appointments Now Cancelled at Driver License Offices Statewide

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is cancelling all driver license appointments for Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, due to the ongoing upgrade of the driver license system. The upgrade is impacting all driver license services including renewing or replacing a driver license or identification card, obtaining a driver record and verifying eligibility.

DPS Awards Dedication to Mission and Service at August PSC Meeting

AUSTIN – The Texas Public Safety Commission (PSC), along with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director Steven McCraw, presented one Director’s Citation, two Lifesaving Awards and two Unit Citations at the PSC meeting on Thursday, Aug. 24, at DPS Headquarters in Austin.
