I was stopped by K. Balzekas. I was driving with my lights off and didn't even realize my mistake. He was also so concerned for my safety that he retrieved my purse from the trunk so that I didn't have to get out of the car. I myself being a women of color was on guard and hesitant of what to expect when being pulled over. I was so relieved to have such a pleasant experience with law enforcement and it now encourages me to have a more positive perception. Again, I apologize for putting the safety of others at risk and have learned from this experience to always make sure that my lights are turned at the appropriate times.
