I am a new resident to Texas. So all of my past experiences were in my old state. Let me say that moving to Texas was the best decision. I love the people here and how everyday tasks that I used to dread are turned into great experiences here. I dreaded going to get my license and anticipated paperwork problems. However, my experience was the exact opposite! Harriet took care of my son and I as we transitioned our out of state driver licenses to Texas. She thoroughly explained each step, verified all of our paperwork. My license hadn't expired so I was able to receive my license same day. She explained the procedure to my son who had an expired license. He was missing a second piece of identification for his residency, but she double checked all of his paperwork to make sure it would be complete when he came back. Super helpful, patient and very friendly. Texas DPS employees are amazing. From the young woman who greeted us to the office supervisor. Everyone is looking to deliver the best customer service. This is amazing, as going to the DMV in California is like going to the dentist. You know you have to do it, but you know it will be painful. Thank you for having great employees like Harriet who make this process easy to get through and pain free.
