Trooper David Anthony

November 23, 2020

While driving East on I-20, milepost 556 East of Dallas, I sustained a rear passenger-side tire blowout. I managed to safely maneuver the vehicle off the road. The afterhours emergency help desk at the rental car company provided no solution and was of little to no help. Shortly after, Texas State Trooper Anthony pulled in behind my car to determine the problem. Trooper Anthony was nothing short of awesome. Seeing that my rental jack was both insufficient and worthless, Trooper Anthony and I walked to the back of the cruiser to unload his 5-ton jack and other needed supplies. Within minutes I had the tire changed and had returned Trooper Anthony’s equipment. While a simple tire change might not seem noteworthy for a brief encounter I am, however, humbled by the assistance provided during turbulent times. Because of these reasons, I am informing the Texas Department of Public Safety that Trooper Anthony is an officer that is the finest I have ever met. Having been in the Army for almost twenty years, I would be honored and privileged to have someone like him in my unit. He is a credit to the Texas Department of Public safety and to the Great State of Texas.
