I am writing today to let you know about the inspiring talk given to me by Officer Jordan in College Station, Texas, on August 6th. I had been pulled over and given a warning due to my high beams being on as well as speeding. I had asked him about the differences between local police and state troopers and it began a very educational conversation about law enforcement in Texas. I have long been interested in joining law enforcement when I graduate and Officer Jordan not only told me his story, he also gave me extremely helpful advice on how I should determine which law enforcement agency is right for me. I am very grateful for my conversation with Officer Jordan and will always be thankful for his service to our nation and our state. I hope that he, along with every other law enforcement officer in Texas, remains safe in these trying times.
