On 08-28-2020, Trooper J Cabano stopped a truck being operated by a driver of Stevens Trucking Co. and completed a driver/vehicle inspection. Very seldom do I receive positive feedback from our drivers following encounters with law enforcement. When our driver turned in the enforcement form to me, he advised me of the encounter and described Trooper Cabano as polite and professional, and spoke very positive about the entire stop. In today's time when tensions between the public and law enforcement tend to be high, and certainly in the trucking industry, this isn't the norm and deserves to be forwarded and noted. Thank you for what your agency is tasked to do and for doing it well, and thank you to Trooper Cabano for his positive representation of TXDPS during his contact with our driver. Be safe.
