Sgt. Daniel Crooks & Neal Roney

November 19, 2020

I am writing this letter in commendation of the help that two of Texas' finest State Troopers gave to me, when my car had a flat tire on a Texas Interstate Highway on October 6, 2020. When I realized that my car had a flat tire, I pulled over into the break-down lane, and I tried to gain assistance from passing drivers since I had never changed a tire on a car. Fortunately, Troopers Sgts Daniel Crooks and Neal Roney came to my assistance. As it turned out, the jack in the rear of my 2012 Subaru Outback wagon was in disrepair, so Troopers Crooks and Roney had to use their own jack to lift up my car. They also placed their cruiser with its lights flashing behind my car to warn other drivers, while they, very kindly, changed the flat tire for me so that I could drive to get a new tire. Both Troopers Crooks and Roney were very professional and courteous in their demeanor and provided me with assistance that I could gain nowhere else. It is for these reasons that I am writing this unsolicited letter of commendation on their behalf.
