AMARILLO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized 140 pounds of marijuana and 11 pounds of assorted THC products Monday, November 28, after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County
At approximately 12:27 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2019 Cadillac XTS traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation. A Canine unit arrived on scene and alerted on the vehicle. The Trooper then discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana and assorted THC products inside the trunk and back seat area.
The driver – Vanessa Bolash, 32, of Vista, California – was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance. Bolash was transported and booked into the Carson County Jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from Los Angeles, California to Tennessee.
