On 11/15/2020, law enforcement officials responded to a residence in Hood County near Granbury. Inside a shed, they found the body of Andrea Stinson. She had been shot to death, the victim of a homicide. Andrea was 31 years old and had three children. She sometimes went by the name of Andrea Brinlee.

On 07-14-2023, Richard Metten was arrested and charged with Murder by the Texas Rangers. A trial date is pending. A person charged with a crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
