Alvin Charles MCKNIGHT, Jr., a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the 52 Hoover Crips gang, was captured on November 15, 2023, in San Bernardino, California. Working off tip information, law enforcement authorities in Northeast Texas coordinated with the San Bernardino Police Department to locate and arrest MCKNIGHT at a bus station.Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Special Agents, Texas Rangers, Upshur County Sheriff’s Office, Longview Police Department, Gladewater Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Service provided assistance in the multi-agency fugitive investigation. MCKNIGHT had been wanted for Capital Murder out of Upshur County since November 5, 2023, in his connection to a recent double homicide that occurred near Gilmer, Texas.MCKNIGHT’s arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so a reward was paid.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:
• Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
• Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App
