CAPTURE DETAILS:
William CLIFFORD, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on November 30, 2021, in Vilonia, Arkansas. Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force located and arrested CLIFFORD at a residence in Vilonia. The multi-agency investigation also included members of the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents. In 2004, CLIFFORD was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child following an incident involving a 13-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 9 years’ confinement in a TDCJ Prison. In 2017, he was convicted of Failure to Comply with a Sex Offender’s Duty to Register and sentenced to 3 years’ confinement. He was released on parole in May 2019. CLIFFORD had been wanted since October 2019, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office issued a Failure to Register as a Sex Offender warrant on January 20, 2021. CLIFFORD's arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
