On May 2, 2019, Luis FLORES, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was taken into custody after turning himself in at the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office in Brownsville, Texas.In June 2013, FLORES was convicted in Dallas County of Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact after an incident involving a 10-year-old girl. He subsequently received a 5-year sentence in TDCJ prison. FLORES was discharged from TDCJ prison in March 2017 and is required to register as a sex offender annually for life. FLORES’ criminal history also includes previous convictions of Aggravated Robbery and Burglary of a Habitation. FLORES had been wanted since September 12, 2018, after a warrant for FLORES’ arrest was issued by the Cameron County Sheriff's Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
