Mary MARTINEZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was taken into custody on October 31, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. Working off investigative information, the Texas Attorney General's Office apprehended MARTINEZ at a residence in west Dallas.In 2005, MARTINEZ was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child after an incident in Dallas County involving a 12-year-old girl. She subsequently received a sentence of 5 years in TDCJ prison.MARTINEZ was released on parole in August 2017 and last registered as a sex offender with law enforcement authorities in October 2017.On January 16, 2018, a parole warrant for MARTINEZ's arrest was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. Dallas County Sheriff’s Office also issued a warrant for her arrest in February 2018.The arrest was not the result of tip information received, so no reward will be paid.
