Jose Miguel ZELAYA-PONCE, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrant from Honduras, was captured on August 23, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents assigned to the Texas-Anti Gang (TAG) Center, along with the Texas Rangers and DPS Highway Patrol Troopers, located and arrested ZELAYA-PONCE.In April 2021, ZELAYA-PONCE was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and charged with alien removal. He was subsequently given an order of recognizance and released. In June 2024, he was issued a final order of removal.ZELAYA-PONCE had been wanted since July 24, 2024, when a warrant was issued out of Harris County for his arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. ZELAYA-PONCE’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
