CAPTURE DETAILS:

Luis Alberto BECERRA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on October 5, 2024, near Alice, Texas, in Jim Wells County. Working off tip information received, DPS Special Agents in McAllen coordinated with deputies from the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of being occupied by BECERRA. Following the traffic stop, BECERRA was identified as a passenger and arrested.In 2014, BECERRA was convicted of Assault Family/Household Member Impede Breath/Circulation and subsequently sentenced to 10 years’ probation. In 2020, his probation was revoked and he subsequently was sentenced to 2 years confinement in a TDCJ prison.BECERRA had been wanted since January 2024, after a warrant was issued out of Hidalgo County for his arrest for Aggravated Robbery.BECERRA’s arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so a reward will be paid.
