Elijah MCDANIEL, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the Crips gang, was arrested on July 8, 2022, by Dallas Police Department officers.In 2016, MCDANIEL was convicted of Assault on a Security Officer, Abandoning/Endangering a Child by Criminal Negligence, three counts of Burglary of a Habitation, and two counts of Evading Arrest. He received seven 10-year sentences and a one-year sentence to be served concurrently in TDCJ. He was released on parole in July 2021. In September 2021, he was arrested for Misdemeanor Assault and sentenced to six months’ probation.MCDANIEL had been wanted since September 2, 2021, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for MCDANIEL’s arrest for Parole Violation. In addition, on September 27, 2021, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
