Leonard Dee TAYLOR, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on July 23, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force located and arrested TAYLOR at a motel on the east side of Houston. DPS Special Agents assisted in the investigation. In 2003, TAYLOR was convicted in Bowie County of two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after incidents involving a 4-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to 20 years in TDCJ prison. TAYLOR was released on parole in March 2015 and is required to register as a sex offender every three months for life. TAYLOR had been wanted since April 2018 after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for TAYLOR’s arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
